With one week remaining for the Washington Redskins to sort out their final depth chart and roster, the 53-man roster is starting to come into clear view.

The Redskins have had a shift in quality depth from seasons past, but nevertheless, the team more than likely will have a roster littered with familiar faces and incoming draft picks.

Last year the Redskins kept all but one player from their entire 2017 draft class on the final opening day roster.

What will be the case this year?

Here is a final 53-man projection ahead of the preseason finale against the Baltimore Ravens.

Does Adrian Peterson need to play in Redskins preseason finale?

Rookie wide receiver Cam Sims who has been having a stellar camp has been out of practice with a hamstring injury. With the injury, he could be a prime candidate to be added to the practice squad.

Defensive lineman Stacy McGee who the team was counting on to have a resurgent season after coming over last year as a free agent from the Oakland Raiders, will be on the PUP list for the first six weeks of the season with a core muscle injury.

Second-year cornerback Joshua Holsey is also on the PUP list with a toe injury.

The Injury related PUP list states that players must sit out the first six weeks of the regular season. At that point, teams have a five-week window in which to allow the player to begin practicing. From the day the player begins practicing, teams have an additional 21-day window in which to decide whether to activate the player on to the 53-man roster. If either of those deadlines passes, the player must remain on the PUP list for the remainder of the season.

Players such as RBs Kapri Bibbs and De’Veon Smith, WR Simmie Cobbs Jr., OL Kyle Kalis and Isaiah Williams, DBs Kenny Ladler and Ranthony Texada, and DL Ondre Pipkins should all be under heavy consideration for the practice squad to name a few.
