When the Washington Redskins signed future Hall of Fame running back Adrian Peterson towards the end of August, some critics saw the move as one out of desperation.

The Redskins were just gut-punched with the devastating news of their highly-valued second-round draft pick, Derrius Guice, being sidelined for the entire season with an ACL tear.

Washington worked out several veteran free agents and came to the conclusion that Peterson was the best fit and since that moment things have worked out better than most would’ve expected.

The former Oklahoma star still looks like a dominant and elite back despite his age. Peterson, 33, has given the Redskins a viable power-back that opposing defenses must account for at all times. His physical style has enabled the Redskins offense to control the line of scrimmage which has been intricate in his 339 yards and three touchdowns.

In fact, Peterson’s play has moved him further up the list of several NFL rushing and scoring records.

Here are some records Peterson could surpass with continued stellar play.
