The Washington Redskins face the New York Giants on Sunday in their third road game of the season. Washington is 1-1 on the road this season after an opening Week 1 win against the Arizona Cardinals and a Week 5 blowout loss to the New Orleans Saints.
The Redskins enter the game with a record of 4-2 after last Sunday’s big win over the Dallas Cowboys. The Giants come into the Week 8 contest with a disappointing 1-6 record after Monday nights loss to the Atlanta Falcons.
Sunday’s contest will be the Redskins second consecutive NFC East matchup of the season. A win would continue the Redskins early season first place hold on the NFC East division which they have led outright for the last three weeks.
In the last meeting between Washington and New York on Dec. 31, 2017, the Giants defeated the Redskins 18-10.
The Redskins are looking to move to 5-2 on the season and give them their best start to a season since starting 5-2 during the 2008 campaign.
