The Washington Redskins were defeated by the Houston Texans, 23-21, at FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland on Sunday. The Redskins now hold a one-game lead in the NFC East division over the Dallas Cowboys who they will play Thursday on Thanksgiving Day in a nationally televised game. The game will be for first place in the division.

In the loss, the Redskins re-wrote several historical statistics and individual players put their names in the team record books.

Here are a few feats accomplished in the home loss.

The Redskins have now forced three or more turnovers in consecutive games for the first time since Weeks 3 and Weeks 4 of the 2016 season. With the three turnovers, the Redskins have forced three or more turnovers in three games this season. It is the first time Washington has forced three or more turnovers in three or more games since 2016 when the team forced that many turnovers in four games.

With his seven-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter, Peterson (105) passed Pro Football Hall of Famer John Riggins for sixth all-time in NFL history in rushing touchdowns. The Purdue star finished the game with one sack and two quarterback hits and now has 6.5 sacks on the season and 78.0 for his career.
