Elena Delle Donne made WNBA history in the Washington Mystics 100-86 victory over the Chicago Sky. Delle Donne scored 25 points and became the first player in WNBA history to shoot over 50% from the field, 40% from 3-point range and 90% from the foul line. She is also the favorite for the 2019 WNBA MVP. The Mystics’ strong showing in their regular season finale capped off the team’s most wins in franchise history with 26 (26-8).
The #Mystics set a franchise best season record with 26 overall wins in their season finale. Here’s my postgame wrap-up where I talked to some of the players about homecourt advantage, not losing steam w/ nine days off & Delle Donne talks about the MVP chants. pic.twitter.com/pgO7AAHOfP

Washington heads into the playoffs with a double-bye into the semifinals and homecourt advantage throughout. With the upcoming time off, the Mystics are hoping to get their star point guard Kristi Toliver back from injury. The team is also mindful that they have to keep their momentum going even though they won’t be playing for nine days.
The Mystics are back in action at the Entertainment and Sports Arena on Sept. 17. The time and opponent is to be determined.
