In the words of Washington Wizards Coach Scott Brooks, the basketball gods finally gave them a break after a 149-146 win over the Brooklyn Nets. The Wizards snapped a four game losing streak as they were trying to recover from not playing in two weeks due to the team’s COVID outbreak.
Although this is the Wizards second time defeating Brooklyn, Coach Steve Nash, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Durant all called Washington a desperate team looking for a win.
While that may be true to some extent, there is no denying that they fought hard and capitalized on the Nets’ mistakes, especially in the final minute of the game. The Wizards earned the win and brought their record to 4-12. They also saw the Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal duo finally come together.
Sports Journey’s Carita Parks provides a recap below.
