The Washington Commanders are back on the road for their second straight game away from DC for a Week 4 showdown in the desert against the Arizona Cardinals.

Washington is tied for the division lead in the NFC East with a record of 2-1. The Commanders enter Sunday’s contest feeling good after a big Monday night win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Arizona is coming off of a tough home loss to the Detroit Lions which dropped their record to 1-2 on the season.

The 4:05 p.m. kickoff pits two former Heisman trophy-winning quarterbacks against each other for the second straight week. Last week, Commanders rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels (2023 Heisman winner) went head-to-head against Joe Burrow (2019 Heisman winner). This week it’s Daniels going up against Cardinals QB Kyler Murray (2018 Heisman winner).

The game also marks the return of former Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury. Kingsbury now orchestrates Washington’s offense as its offensive coordinator.

Kingsbury’s offense is looking to continue a trend that has record-setting implications. Washington’s offense has scored on every drive in the last two games (excluding kneel-downs), becoming the only team since at least 2000 to score on every drive in multiple games (excluding kneel-downs). Daniels was named both, the NFC Offensive Player of the Week and the NFL’s Pepsi Rookie of the Week for his performance against the Bengals.

On the road, the Commanders have a 28-27-2 record against the Cardinals and an overall 77-47-2 record.

Washington is looking to win two consecutive road games for the first time since winning four straight road games from October 20-November 20, 2022.

Here is a look at how both teams ‘Stats Stack Upagainst each other heading into Week 4 of the NFL season.
