The red-hot Washington Commanders are back at home after two consecutive road wins. Sunday’s Week 5 schedule matches them up against the Cleveland Browns.

Washington sits in sole possession atop of the NFC East division with a surprising 3-1 record. The Commanders enter Sunday’s contest as one of the NFL’s most talked-about teams because of their early season success and the emergence of rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels.

Cleveland is coming off of a controversial loss to the Las Vegas Raiders which dropped their record to 1-3 on the season.

The 1:00 p.m. kickoff showcases Daniels who has taken the NFL by storm. Last year’s LSU Heisman Trophy winner was the NFC Offensive Player of the Month. Daniels with offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury has kickstarted a Commanders’ offense that scored on 16 consecutive drives excluding kneel-downs, the longest streak since 2000.

From a historical standpoint, Washington has a 5-17-1 record at home against the Browns and a 12-35-1 overall record. The Commanders are looking to break a two-game losing streak against the Browns. The last time Washington played Cleveland at home; the Browns defeated them 24-10.

Washington is looking to start 4-1 for the first time since 2008.
