The show live from Kalypso’s Sports Tavern in Reston, Va. got off to an unusual start as the new theme song for the show was unveiled with much applause. A serious note then ensued as Anthony, Lake and Chuck discussed the fallout around Anthony’s comments about wanting the Redskins to bring back Donovan McNabb and Rex Grossman. The broadcast continued to build as one surprise after another kept happening.
Guests: Clint Oldenburg–a promising offensive lineman for the Washington Redskins–gave great insight about the state of the Mountain West Conference, which may no longer be a major conference with the defection of TCU to the Big East.
Fellow Sports Journey Talent and Washington Redskins special teams ace Brandon Banks made a surprise visit and hyped the much anticipated race between Anthony and hiself. The big surprise of the night came when former Washington Redskins great and D.C. area media personality Brian Mitchell came on the set and gave his opinion on several topics effecting Redskins fans. He also defended the right of Anthony to speak his mind and praised the development of both Anthony and Brandon and agreed that the Redskins do have young talent that should make for an exciting 2011 season.
