Sports Journey Broadcast Network is pleased to announce that on Thursday, April 26, the National Football League’s NFL Network will be joining Lake Lewis, Washington Redskins’ linebacker Lorenzo “One Man Gang” Alexander and defensive lineman Kedric Golston during the taping of a special Draft Day episode of “Capital Punishment” at the Green Turtle in Olney, Maryland.

The NFL Network will be in the D.C. area to catch the reaction of fans and players to the Washington Redskins’ first-round draft pick (second overall) of Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin, III, quarterback out of Baylor University, in Waco, Texas. The network will run a live feed during and immediately after the selection is announced from Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

Fans are encouraged to come out to the Green Turtle and show the NFL, the NFL Network and the television viewing audience how Redskins Nation welcomes new players to the team. Several Washington Redskins players who have been instrumental in the growth of Sports Journey will be joining us such as wide receiver Terrence Austin, fullback Darrel Young, linebacker Chris Wilson, former defensive end and current Redskins Director of Player Personnel Phillip Daniels, and of course, the aforementioned Alexander and Golston. Other professional athletes and local celebrities will be there as well so stay tuned.

If you are unable to join us at the venue, please be sure to check out the show at www.sportjourney.com where you can join the players and Lewis in the chat box, available during every show.

Whether it is the number-one team sport in America – professional football – involving 53 large and singularly-minded men with but one purpose on a 100-yard gridiron; the intensely inward sport of weightlifting, which severely tests the resolve of a person as he/she defies gravity, constantly pitting themselves against the weights; or the sport of equestrian dressage, a sport in which a 120 lbs. human being convinces a 1300+ lbs. equine athlete to do things it would never do in the wild; sports play an important part in this world… physically, mentally and emotionally.

Take the Journey.
