Hours before tonight’s final preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens, the Washington Redskins put their starters and key reserves through an intense workout.

Injuries have plagued the Redskins over the past few seasons with last year being of epic proportions. Conditioning before the regular season opener against the Arizona Cardinals has to be of primary importance. A lot of the Redskins frontline players missed some, or all, of preseason game action due to injuries sustained last year.

Today from M&T Bank Stadium, players who are not expected to play in tonight’s game went through conditioning drills and other individual workouts for almost an hour. Most of the team’s key personnel on the roster were running sprints as early as 4:30 p.m. est. Temperatures around that time were close to 100°.

RB Chris Thompson, WR Josh Doctson and TE Vernon Davis to name a few players, stayed out on the field to continue working out with the group who will be playing in tonight’s game.
