The Washington Redskins will face the Denver Broncos Friday night in the teams third preseason game. The ‘dress rehearsal’ game as known around the NFL will give the Redskins a chance to take a look at starters longer than usual. The game also provides younger players on the bubble another day to showcase their talent to coaches during a live situation.

The game will be the first meeting in preseason play between Washington and Denver since 2004 when the Redskins defeated the Broncos, 20-17, in Canton, Ohio, in the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game.

Redskins fans will get the chance to see newly signed running back Adrian Peterson.

It’s not known how long starters will play for the Burgundy and Gold with the regular season commencing in just two weeks.
