The Washington Redskins face the Green Bay Packers on Sunday in a game where they need a victory to get rid of the bad taste of last weeks defeat to the Indianapolis Colts out of their mouths.

The Redskins enter the contest with a record of 1-1 to start the season and the Packers come in with a record of 1-0-1.

A win would improve the Redskins record to 2-1 for the second consecutive season and first time back-to-back seasons accomplishing the feat since being 2-1 to start the 2007 and 2008 campaigns.

Winning would give the Redskins’ back-to-back regular season wins against the Packers since defeating Green Bay during the 1986 and 1988 seasons.

A ‘W’ would make the Redskins 5-3 record against NFC North opponents under coach Jay Gruden.

A victory over Green Bay would improve the Redskins’ home record at FedExField to 85-84-1 in the regular season.

Winning would close the Redskins’ deficit in the all-time regular-season series record against the Packers to 15-18-1.

Finally, a win would give the Redskins a 3-1 regular season record against the Packers at FedExField. In the teams last game back on November 20, 2016, the Redskins came out victorious 42-24. In that game, the Redskins accumulated 515 yards of total offense.
