The Washington Redskins announced that they have signed wide receiver Jehu Chesson to their active roster from off of the practice squad.

Chesson was previously on the active roster when the Redskins played the Indianapolis Colts and provided strong special teams play during the Week 2 contest. He was released a few days after that game and immediately was signed back to the team’s practice squad.

NFL records Redskins’ Adrian Peterson can eclipse

Chesson, 24, played collegiately at Michigan. He was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs as the 139th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

With injuries to WR’s Jamison Crowder and Paul Richardson, the move to call up Chesson may be an indicator of the game day status of the two starters.
