Washington Mystics forward Elena Delle Donne was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the first time this season. It is the 17th Player of the Week recognition of her career. Delle Donne led the Mystics to a 3-0 record in games played the week of June 17 against the Los Angeles Sparks, Las Vegas Aces and Atlanta Dream.

The Mystics were undefeated for the week, defeating opponents by an average of 22.5 points with Delle Donne averaging a double-double with 19.7 points per game, 12.0 rebounds per game, and 2.3 assists per game. In Washington’s 29-point win against the Los Angeles Sparks, Delle Donne scored nine points and grabbed a season high 15 rebounds.

She followed with a double-double performance in Washington’s impressive 95-72 victory against the Las Vegas Aces. In that contest, Delle Donne led all players with 29 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks.

The Mystics closed out the week by defeating the Dream 89-73 with Delle Donne recording another double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds. For the week, she shot 52.2 % from the field, 47.1% from the 3-point line and was perfect from the free throw line.

Delle Donne is looking to keep her hot streak going as Washington (7-3) closes out their four-game road trip on Wednesday, June 26 in a matinee against the Chicago Sky (6-3).
