The Washington Football Team will be entering the 2020 season with a team that has plenty of talented young players. Head Coach Ron Rivera seems to be looking to the youth of this team to carry majority of the load. Washington also has a very good mixture of veteran leadership that can provide a nice balance to help build a strong unified front with one common goal. On Tuesday, the team added a veteran presence to their young wide receiver group with the signing of WR Dontrelle Inman.

At 6’3, 205 ibs, Inman gives offensive coordinator Scott Turner a solid replacement for Kelvin Harmon who will miss the 2020 season due to suffering a torn ACL while training this summer. Inman is a big WR that understands how to use his size to provide his quarterback with a viable target.

The former University of Virginia product does a great job securing the catch when targeted. Most importantly is the way he handles himself on and off the field. His professionalism will be a major key in the development of this young group.

The eight-year pro has been with five NFL teams to include the San Diego/Los Angeles Chargers (twice), Indianapolis Colts (twice), Chicago Bears, and Jacksonville Jaguars. Inman was also on the New England Patriots roster but didn’t actually play a game.

The Batesburg, South Carolina native previously played in the CFL, amassing 100 career receptions for 1,542 yards, a 15.4 average, and 11 touchdowns with Toronto. In his NFL career, he’s compiled 170 receptions, 2,282 yards, and 11 touchdowns. In 2019 with the Colts, the veteran played seven games with 12 receptions for 181 yards.
