Yesterday in their 34-20 loss to the Cleveland Browns, the Washington Football Team and all of its’ supporters were sick their stomachs when they witnessed prized draft pick and dominant rookie defensive lineman Chase Young limping off the field into the locker room.

The former Ohio State star injured his groin in the second quarter and was visibly upset about the setback. He didn’t return to action but remained on the sidelines, cheering his teammates on in street clothes.

After the game, Young took to social media and gave a favorable response to fans wondering what the extent of his injury was.

Although the local prodigy tweeted, he would be okay that still has to be co-signed by team doctors.

Young has shown promise on the season and why he was selected with No. 2 overall pick in last year’s NFL draft. In just about ten quarters of play to start his pro career, Young has amassed 6 tackles, one forced fumble, and 2.5 sacks. Young entered yesterday’s Week 3 contest tied for the league lead in sacks.

Washington Football Team Nation is holding their collective breaths that the first-year players’ tweet is indeed a positive indication of his return.

Washington faces the multi-faceted, reigning league MVP, Lamar Jackson, and the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, so everyone will heavily watch for Young’s availability up until game time.

Not all was good as Washington lost another dominant defensive-lineman yesterday in Matt Ioannidis to a torn bicep, which could be the end of the former Temple standouts season.
