It is hard enough to evaluate players for Fantasy Football with a preseason… without those games, selecting a player line-up in these early weeks is even more difficult. Adding to this struggle is the injury bug that has struck many Fantasy league owners’ top-producing players. This leaves fans hustling to the waiver wire for quality replacements.

The New Orleans Saints have a plethora of talent on various Fantasy Football rosters. Below are two players to start against the Green Bay Packers for the upcoming Sunday Night Football game:

1). TE Jared Cook

After coming off an 80-yard performance in Week 1, the tight end was certainly disappointing to fantasy owners in Week 2. Cook managed only two receptions for 13 yards on five targets in the Monday night loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. Nevertheless, with wideout Michael Thomas sidelined, Cook should still see a decent number of targets so he might redeem himself in Week 3.

Cook can be explosive and runs crisp routes but he is not the league’s fastest tight end. And his route tree work enables him to manipulate defenders to get separation. Through two weeks, the Packers have struggled with defending the tight end position in the passing game so Cook is a must-start this Sunday night.

2). WR Emmanuel Sander

Sanders is new to the Saints offense and in Week 1, he posted just 15 receiving yards on three catches. His performance wasn’t great but the 10-year pro managed to salvage his day slightly with a late touchdown. Week 2 wasn’t any better for him as the wide receiver only managed one reception for 18 yards on three targets in the Week 2 loss to the Raiders.

This week against the Packers, Sanders should have a better day. Green Bay struggles covering some WR positions, especially guys in the slot running crossing routes. Look for New Orleans Head Coach Sean Payton to get Sanders involved in the offense early, but his value should be WR2 or flex considering his Week 2 struggles.
