Is it me or does it seem like it’s been a month, not a week since the Washington Football Team has been on the field?  Between the bye week, the election, and the day after the election, I’m ready for some football again.  I’ve seen enough of Steve Kornacki to last a lifetime (or at least enough to last until the midterms).

With that in mind, here are your fantasy options for this weekend.

Washington Defense:

Let’s take a look back at week 6.  Daniel Jones’s biggest play of the day was a 49-yard run and the cause of that was a bad read by the linebacker.  Despite that big play, the Giants couldn’t cash that in for a touchdown.  Jones has been a turnover machine this year and while he can obviously run, he can’t hide forever.  New York’s offensive line is garbage, you know about the rest of their offensive shortcomings so I’m counting on the defense for at least one interception and three sacks.

WR Terry McLaurin:

Scary Terry was named a captain this week as Landon Collins was put on season-ending IR.  Everyone knows he’s one of the few true threats on the Washington offensive side of the ball.  Despite that, the Giants defense let McLaurin get 12 targets in Week 6 where he hauled in seven of them.  McLaurin is on a heat check now. He had a long touchdown against Dallas before the bye week and I think he comes up big again this week.

RB Antonio Gibson:

With Washington’s offense, you know there aren’t a lot of options so let’s give you a reason why the rookie from Memphis keeps showing up every week.  Against Dallas, Gibson finally had the breakout game everyone was waiting for.  He ran for 128 yards and scored a touchdown; his longest run was 40 yards.  The Giants defense isn’t quite as bad as Dallas, but then again no team’s defense is as bad as Dallas.  Now that Gibson has gotten a taste of domination, let’s see if he can go back to back and have monster outings.  He might be more successful as a pass catcher though.  The Giants defense is 24th against the pass but 11th against the rush.  Either way, a good day for Gibson should mean a good day for Washington.
