The multiverse has led Physicists, Philosophers, and comic book fans to debate the existence of it for centuries. Personally, I’d like to believe the multiverse exists because if it does, somewhere out there is a universe where The Washington Football Team is actually a model NFL franchise with six or seven Lombardi trophies to its’ name. A name that doesn’t offend native Americans, by the way.

Unfortunately, if that universe exists, we don’t have the technology to play fantasy football in it so we just have to make do with what we have.

With that in mind, here are your value picks for this weekend.

QB Alex Smith:

Let’s ride with him again this week! No touchdowns but no interceptions either and 390 yards passing. That’s 19 points in my league.

Here’s what I like about last week; chunk plays. For a guy with a reputation of throwing the check down, Smith was 7 of 11 on throws over 15 yards.

The Bengals defense has given up 21 touchdowns through the air. That could mean good news not only for Smith but also for…….

TE Logan Thomas:

Yes, Terry McLaurin is the obvious pick but here, we need to change it up a little bit. The entire defense will obviously look to stop McLaurin. He has proven he will get his yards regardless, but what about everyone else?

It just so happens that the Cincy defense has given up more points per game against tight ends than any team with the exception of Atlanta. Thomas isn’t flashy, but he gets the job done. If you need to take a flyer on someone, this is the guy.

RB Antonio Gibson:

The rookie had a huge week against Detroit with 22 points. Two touchdowns against the Lions and four in his last three games, means he’s a guy on a heater. Granted, he splits time with J.D. McKissic, but he’s consistent. Gibson’s had at least 12 points in six of his last eight games.

Remember that stat of passing touchdowns the Bengals give up?

Gibson should get in on that act Sunday.
