The Washington Commanders are back home and play in a critical divisional showdown with the Philadelphia Eagles. The game marks the fourth home contest for Washington. The confines of FedEx Field have been anything but cozy, as Washington has had two blowout losses to the Buffalo Bills and the Chicago Bears. Their lone win at home was the season opener against the Arizona Cardinals. Kickoff against Philadelphia is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.

The NFC East matchup will be a tough test for the Commanders who took the Eagles into overtime three weeks ago. A win would move the team record back to .500 at 4-4. A loss further enhances the chatter of possible in-season coaching changes and lineup alterations from an already frustrated fanbase.

The Eagles come into the game flying high with a 6-1 record. The Eagles defeated the 5-2 Miami Dolphins last weekend in a showcase of two potential Super Bowl teams.

The Commanders were defeated in New York last weekend in a dreadful 14-7 loss to the Giants.

Washington’s all-time record at home against Philadelphia is 45-40-3. The teams last played at Lincoln Financial Field on October 1st in Week 4 this season, when Washington lost 34-31.

The last time Washington defeated the Eagles at home was on September 13, 2020, in a 27-17 win.

Here is a look at how both teams ‘Stats Stack Up‘ against each other heading into Week 8 of the NFL season.
