The Washington Commanders travel to Texas for Thanksgiving Day and a matchup against their longtime rival, the Dallas Cowboys. This is the second straight week the Commanders will face an NFC East opponent. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. today.

The game marks the seventh road contest for the Commanders. Washington (4-7) is playing .500 football on the road this season where they sport a 3-3 record with wins over the Denver Broncos (Week 2), Atlanta Falcons (Week 6), and the New England Patriots (Week 9).

A win would bring something positive for the team to hang their hats on in a season that has gone off the rails. A loss could be the nail in the coffin for the coaching tenure of Ron Rivera and possibly defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio as both are on the hot seat with a fanbase looking for changes.

Dallas comes into the game with a record of 7-3 and is riding a two-game winning streak. They are led by a stout defense that creates turnovers.

The Commanders sputtered and lost a humiliating game at home last week against the New York Giants 31-19.

Washington has a 17-42-2 record on the road in Dallas and is 46-76-2 all-time against the Cowboys. The team’s last played back on January 8th, at FedEx Field. A game Washington won 26-6 in quarterback Sam Howell’s first-ever NFL start.

Here is a look at how both teams ‘Stats Stack Up‘ against each other heading into Week 12 of the NFL season.
