Ashburn, Va. – The Washington Commanders have a new partner at the top of their roster of sponsors. On Wednesday, the team announced a multi-year naming rights deal with BigBear.ai, rebranding the organization’s Ashburn headquarters as the BigBear.ai Performance Center.
The partnership isn’t just about a new sign on the building. BigBear.ai’s branding will appear on practice jerseys, across the suite level at Northwest Stadium, and throughout the team’s 162-acre facility in Loudoun County. The site features four grass fields, an indoor turf field, meeting and draft rooms, a full strength and recovery center, and a content studio.
For BigBear.ai, a company best known for artificial intelligence solutions in defense and critical infrastructure, the move signals an expansion into the national spotlight. “BigBear.ai is going on offense, and this partnership exemplifies our strategy,” CEO Kevin McAleenan said.
Commanders’ president Mark Clouse called it a strong fit for both sides, noting that BigBear.ai’s regional roots and focus on innovation match the direction the team is heading. He also emphasized the company’s shared commitment to community engagement and long-term growth.
The announcement was highlighted on Wednesday morning at the New York Stock Exchange, where BigBear.ai and Commander’s leadership rang the opening bell together.
For Washington, it’s another step in reshaping the franchise’s image under new ownership. For BigBear.ai, it’s an opportunity to showcase its brand on one of football’s biggest stages.
