Cruz Pedregon Racing Announces Veteran Additions for 2026 NHRA Season

Cruz Pedregon Racing is entering the 2026 NHRA season with renewed focus, reinforced leadership, and a clear plan for long-term competitiveness. As the organization navigates a pivotal offseason, it is balancing change with stability — and doing so intentionally.

Last Wednesday, Cruz Pedregon Racing announced that Crew Chief Jason Bunker will depart the organization to pursue other opportunities in the 2026 season. Bunker joined the organization as a rising prospect and grew steadily into a respected technical presence. CPR remains focused on the future rather than dwelling on the adjustment.

Veteran Experience Returns to CPR

With eyes firmly on what comes next, Cruz Pedregon Racing announced the addition of two proven veterans — Terrance “Rip” Reynolds and Chris “Warrior” Kullberg — to its 2026 Nitro Funny Car operation. Both men bring decades of winning experience, championship-level knowledge, and established leadership within the NHRA community.

Reynolds and Kullberg are not newcomers to the organization. Each has worked with Cruz Pedregon Racing at various points throughout their careers, contributing to on-track wins and competitive performances. Their return signals a renewed commitment to strengthening the team’s structure as it prepares for a demanding 2026 campaign.

“It’s rewarding to have Rip and Warrior back with us,” said team owner and driver Cruz Pedregon. “We’ve continued a great relationship with both of these guys who are winners. They know what it takes to compete at the highest level, and they bring exactly the kind of leadership, structure, and organizational strength we’ve been looking to add. This is a big step toward where we want to be in 2026, and I couldn’t be more motivated for what lies ahead.”

Focused Roles, Long-Term Vision

Reynolds and Kullberg are expected to play instrumental roles across CPR’s operation, helping guide technical direction, performance benchmarks, and daily execution. Their experience is designed to complement the existing foundation while accelerating the team’s push toward consistency and competitiveness.

Rather than reacting to offseason movement, CPR has remained intentional in its approach — reinforcing the program with leadership that understands both the demands of the sport and the standards of the organization.

As preparations continue on the Snap-on® Dodge® Hellcat® Nitro Funny Car, Cruz Pedregon Racing looks ahead with sharpened focus and renewed energy. The return to the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series in 2026 will feature an expanded leadership group, a unified direction, and a team intent on delivering results.
