NFL Announces November Standouts

The NFL announced its Players of the Month for November (Weeks 9–13), highlighting dominant stretches from several of the league’s top performers. Miami’s explosive ground game, Cleveland’s defensive force, and Seattle’s special teams consistency defined the AFC slate, while Matthew Stafford’s career month and Nahshon Wright’s breakout November led the NFC.

Offense: De’Von Achane, RB, Miami Dolphins

Miami Dolphins running back De’Von Achane earned his first Offensive Player of the Month honor after leading the NFL with 445 rushing yards and 157.5 scrimmage yards per game from Weeks 9–13. He was one of only three players during that span to record at least 100 scrimmage yards in four games.

Achane becomes the first Dolphins running back to win Player of the Month and the fifth Dolphins player overall to earn offensive honors. He joins Pro Football Hall of Famer Dan Marino, Tyreek Hill, Scott Mitchell and Tua Tagovailoa. Achane is also the second former Texas A&M player to win Offensive Player of the Month, following Ryan Tannehill in 2019.

Defense: Myles Garrett, DE, Cleveland Browns

Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett delivered a dominant November, recording 18 tackles, a league-high 13 tackles for loss, a league-high nine sacks, and two forced fumbles. He was the only player from Weeks 9–13 to register at least 10 tackles, 10 tackles for loss and five sacks.

This is Garrett’s second Player of the Month award, tying Mike Johnson for the second-most in franchise history and trailing only Josh Cribbs (three). Garrett won the honor in October 2020 and again this November. He also joins Von Miller as the only former Texas A&M players to win Player of the Month multiple times.

Special Teams: Austin McNamara, P, New York Jets

New York Jets rookie punter Austin McNamara earned his first Special Teams Player of the Month honor after an impressive November. McNamara totaled 20 punts, with 11 inside the 20-yard line, including four inside the 10 and one inside the 5. He logged 924 punting yards, averaging 46.2 yards per punt.

He was the only AFC player during Weeks 9–13 to reach at least 20 punts, 900 yards and a 40-yard net average. McNamara becomes the second Jets punter to win the award, joining Tom Tupa (1999), and the second former Texas Tech player to earn Special Teams Player of the Month since Byron Hanspard in 1997.

Offense: Matthew Stafford, QB, Los Angeles Rams

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford posted one of the best months of his 15-year career. Stafford completed 106 of 159 passes (66.7 percent) for 1,207 yards, 15 touchdowns, two interceptions and a 115.5 passer rating. He led the NFL in touchdown passes and passer rating during November.

His 15 touchdown passes were the most he has thrown in a single month, and he became only the ninth NFC quarterback in league history to record at least 15 touchdown passes in one month. This is Stafford’s first Player of the Month award, making him the fourth Rams quarterback to win Offensive Player of the Month, joining Kurt Warner, Jim Everett and Jared Goff.

Stafford is also the first former Georgia quarterback to earn Offensive Player of the Month and the sixth Georgia alum to win the award.

Defense: Nahshon Wright, DB, Chicago Bears

Chicago Bears defensive back Nahshon Wright earned his first Defensive Player of the Month award after producing one of the league’s most well-rounded defensive performances in November. Wright recorded 19 tackles, six passes defensed, three interceptions, two fumble recoveries and a forced fumble.

He tied for the league lead in interceptions and fumble recoveries during November. Wright also became just the third player in NFL history to record at least 15 tackles, six passes defensed, three interceptions, two fumble recoveries and a forced fumble in a single month, joining Hall of Famer Ed Reed (2008) and Tramon Williams (2010).

Wright is the first Bears player to win Player of the Month since Cairo Santos (2023) and the first Chicago defender to win since Robert Quinn (2021). He is the fourth former Oregon State player to earn a monthly honor and the second Oregon State defender to win Defensive Player of the Month, joining Jordan Poyer.

Special Teams: Jason Myers, K, Seattle Seahawks

Seattle Seahawks kicker Jason Myers was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Month after making 31 of 32 total kicks in November, including 15 of 16 field-goal attempts and all 16 PATs, totaling 61 points. He led the NFL in points scored and became the fourth NFC kicker in history to record at least 60 points in a month.

His 15 field goals tied for the third-most in a month by an NFC kicker. This is the first Player of the Month award of Myers’ career, and he becomes the first Seahawks special teams player honored since Michael Dickson in 2018. Myers is also the first former Marist player ever to win Player of the Month.
