When it comes to preparing dancers and aspiring professional cheerleaders for the big leagues, Sideline Prep has built a reputation for excellence, empowerment, and transformation. GeNienne Samuels, President/CEO of Sideline Prep, is a former NFL and NBA cheerleader, co-founded Sideline Prep in 2009. Sideline Prep, the longest-standing pro cheer prep company in the nation, has helped hundreds of dancers across the globe make their professional dreams a reality — from the NFL and NBA to the NHL, MLS, and beyond.
What makes Sideline Prep stand out isn’t just the technical and performance training. It’s the holistic approach — blending mental preparation, professional development, and personal growth. Through customized guidance, mindset coaching, and resources like The Pro Cheer Assessment and Sideline Mindset Training, Sideline Prep equips dancers with the tools they need to shine with confidence, authenticity, and grace.
Expanding Beyond Borders: Supporting Japan’s Aspiring Pros
While Sideline Prep began in the United States, its reach has expanded far beyond, including a thriving community of dancers in Japan. Over the years, Sideline Prep has helped 15 Japanese “lovelies” achieve their dream of going pro, representing teams at the highest levels of cheer and dance.
These partnerships have become a cornerstone of Sideline Prep’s global mission: bridging cultures through the universal language of dance, confidence, and performance. Many of these dancers faced challenges navigating another language, travel, Visa requirements, different styles, audition formats, and expectations — but with Sideline Prep’s expert coaching and community support, they not only adapted but excelled… and earned spots on various NFL, NBA, and MLB professional dance teams.
“Working with our Japanese Lovelies has been one of the most rewarding experiences,” says GeNienne. “Their dedication, discipline, and heart perfectly embody what Sideline Prep stands for. We’re so proud to see them continue to thrive on professional teams around the world, but especially here in the United States.”
Now, Sideline Prep’s influence continues to grow — and one of the newest additions to their international family is a talented dancer from Canada, bringing her own story of passion, perseverance, and purpose to the Sideline Prep journey.
Meet Brooklyn: From Canada’s Rising Star to NFL Hopeful

Brooklyn brings her passion and precision center stage — from Canada’s top studios to West Virginia University and now preparing for NFL cheer auditions with Sideline Prep.
For Brooklyn, dance has always been more than movement — it’s been a way of life. Born and raised in Canada, she began dancing at just two years old and was competing by the time she was seven. From ages twelve to eighteen, she trained over 30 hours a week at the prestigious Canadian Dance Company, which she calls her “second home.” It was there that her artistry and drive took shape — learning discipline, teamwork, and how to perform with both confidence and heart.
Her early career was filled with milestones, including being named the Canadian National Exhibition’s Rising Star Talent Competition Youth Grand Champion in 2019, a title once shared by world-renowned artists like Blake McGrath and Jason Sermonia. She also represented her country as a member of Team Canada Dance, earning two bronze medals and one silver at the World Dance Championships in Germany.
“These experiences taught me the importance of dedication, pride, and pushing myself to my full potential,” Brooklyn shared. “They showed me that dreams can truly become reality when you lead with passion.”
Taking Her Talents to the U.S.
Brooklyn’s journey next took her south of the border, where she became a four-year member of the West Virginia University Dance Team (2021–2025). As a first-generation college student majoring in Elementary Education, she learned the true meaning of balance—balancing rigorous academics with dancing for a top-tier D1A collegiate program.
Her team placed Top 3 in D1A Jazz at NDA Nationals three times (2022, 2023, and 2025), and Brooklyn describes those moments as “the result of hard work, discipline, and the kind of team chemistry that makes everything possible.”
Beyond collegiate dance, her experience spans major stages and screens, including performances on Netflix’s “Feel the Beat,” BET, and The Pickler & Ben Show. Each opportunity refined her professionalism and reinforced her commitment to excellence.
Partnering with Sideline Prep: Preparing for the Next Level
Now, Brooklyn is working closely with Sideline Prep to take the next step in her journey — auditioning for an NFL cheer team. Through the program’s signature P.R.E.P. Model (Plan, React, Evaluate, Perform), she’s learning how to approach auditions strategically, build mental resilience, and embody the confidence required to stand out in a competitive arena.
“Working with Sideline Prep has been an amazing step toward my dream,” Brooklyn said. “The Sideline Mindset training has helped me manage nerves, focus under pressure, and perform with professionalism. The Pro Cheer Assessment also gave me a deeper understanding of what’s expected at the professional level. I feel like I’m walking into this next chapter truly ‘sideline ready.’”

Looking Ahead: Inspiring Dancers Around the World
Brooklyn’s story is not just about talent — it’s about heart, humility, and hope. As she prepares for NFL auditions, her ultimate goal is to inspire dancers across Canada and beyond.
“I want other dancers from Canada to know that even if professional cheer opportunities are limited where you are, your dreams are valid and achievable,” she said. “With the right training, mindset, and support system — like Sideline Prep — you can make it happen.”
Her story is proof that Sideline Prep’s mission transcends borders. Whether it’s Japan, Canada, or the U.S., the company continues to empower dancers everywhere to step into their purpose, perform with passion, and pursue their professional dreams with confidence.
