What a long, strange trip it’s been.  Fortunately, 2020 is in the rearview mirror, which is something everyone should be happy about.  At this point, fantasy football seasons are over but if you need a fix, there are plenty of interesting options for Sunday.  With that said, here are your final value plays for the season wearing Burgundy and Gold.

Washington Defense

If Washington’s defense isn’t an elite unit yet, it’s pretty close.  The trend line for the Chase Young led group looks great.  Just two weeks removed from a 23 point performance against the San Francisco 49ers, the defense knows a win starts with them.

Philadelphia quarterback Jalen Hurts is fast and can scramble so don’t look for another eight-sack performance. Hurts isn’t Superman, however.  Last week against the Dallas Cowboys, Hurts was sacked three times and intercepted once. Washington has everything to play for which should mean points for the unit.

RB Antonio Gibson

The rookie from Memphis looked good coming off of a turf toe injury.  Gibson averaged over six yards per carry last week.  The offensive line has been excellent in run blocking the second half of the season and Philadelphia may be without Fletcher Cox and some other key pieces along the defensive line.  Offensive coordinator Scott Turner needs to stay with the run game longer this week.  That will open things up for Gibson.

WR Cam Sims

This is a hunch, but one based on the Eagles coaches tape.

Philly defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz loves to play press coverage with his defensive backs and put pressure on the opposing quarterback.  The problem is, lately, those defensive backs have been getting beat.

Sims nearly had a spectacular touchdown catch in the fourth quarter against the Carolina Panthers.  He and the other receivers appeared open last week but getting them the ball proved problematic at times.  With either Alex Smith or Taylor Heinicke under center, that will improve.  Terry McLaurin is probably out which means Sims will have a chance to make big plays.  He’s done it before.
